Kanbun blades in military mounts

Recommended Posts

How many military sword collectors have Kanbun blades? Here are two Kanbun (1660-1670) swords compared to the usual curvature example. Swords of this period were almost straight.

Thought it may be interesting to show the difference.

Interesting topic, despite Kanbun being a short era I have seen many Shin Gunto with classic blades from that era. I have two & thought I had taken more photos today but the gremlins got to them. Will pull them out again tomorrow, top two are Kanbun (Musashi No Kami Kunitsugu & Mumei) blades, bottom is Suriage Koto for comparison.
