Wayben Posted January 10, 2020 Report Share Posted January 10, 2020 Up for sale is a Katana signed Higo no Kami Kuniyasu, complete with koshirae and NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon papers. Kuniyasu was active during the Kanbun period and was ranked O-Wazamono for his workmanship. The nagasa measures 27.4 inches and is in good polish. Blade is in a shirasaya with a gold foil habaki with a rain pattern. The koshirae goes nicely with the blade. The saya is black lacquer with a cloud pattern. The fuchi and kashira are made of iron with a large flower pattern. The iron sukashi tsuba is of bamboo leaves with some remaining gold overlay and nice patina. The menuki are long dragons that go well with the cloud theme one the saya. Overall a signed and TH papered blade by a highly ranked Shinto smith with a nicely done koshirae. $7950 to me gets it sent to your door in the US. Lots of pictures to follow.
