Stand for naginata

One of the members of my sword club has a vertical display for 5 or 6 naginata, that was very custom-made, Stef. It's shaped sort of like a yin-yang symbol, with half of it swinging away to allow removal, & back together to lock. He's pretty old (90+), & hasn't shown up at a meeting in awhile, but I'll see if I can arrange for a photo or three, & will pass it on to Steve, too.

Good idea. And looking online, there are some awesome designs. I bet a carpenter could make a stunning example of this design taking 6 or 8 naginata/yari.

Kathleen,

I have a contact in Japan that makes a naginata/yari stand for up to 3 pieces.  Not sure if he could make a 5 place one, but I wouldn't doubt that he could.  Price however is the hurdle because with shipping you'd probably be somewhere around $1000 USD.  I would also suggest an armory style stand like those made for rifles/shotguns.
