For us to tell more about the blade, please take some photos of the totally-bare blade,as the sugata is the first thing to check for to determine jidai.

Does not look to be showato though with such hamon could have been there.

Sugu boshi - probably shinto.

So basically a run of the mill shinto mino. Without looking into books regarding the signed name - out of laziness.

I think its reasonable to take the mei I translated above at face value. Shinto Takada.

With the (undeserved) bad reputation of the Bungo Takada school, i dont see why someone would make a gimei Takada.

Yes, I don't recall ever seeing a shinto Takada / Fujiwara Takada which was judged to be gimei.
