Odd shaped Jakushi Dragon Tsuba

Hi All,

I recently aquired this Tsuba which I wanted to share. It fitted in well for my collection as I was after something dragon themed and a little different to my usual mokko/round collection.

A lot of the gold inlay is missing but there are some remnants in the recesses and a few specks here and there on the Dragon itself. There is a bit of rust around which I dont think is too active.

 

What really drew me in though, was the lobed shape. Although I have seen other Jakushi with a similar shape, none that I have seen have been as pronounced, or severe.

The other draw card was that the carving seems quite defined compared to what I have seen on other Jakushi Tsuba.
