There are some wonderful pieces available here for short money. Each will make a fantastic user or display queen, if that's your thing. A couple of these items have corresponding write ups here, which I'll link in order to provide more detail and not unnecessarily duplicate pics. 1. Iga Bucket Style Guinomi by Watanabe Aiko Not much else to say about this one that I didn't already cover here, and I haven't been able to get better pics of it either, so please take a look: http://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/topic/25567-iga-guinomi-by-watanabe-aiko/ I've used this cup a fair amount over the past ten months, and it is a brutal yet delightfully organic, and an absolute joy to handle and drink out of. Comes boxed with it's original paperwork and cloth, mint condition. $120 USA, $130 Worldwide 2. Ki-Seto Rokkaku Guinomi by Nishioka Yu A very skillful homage to the excavated Seto sake cups of the Momoyama period, boxed with it's original cloth. These are very tricky vessels to get right, and the Suzuki Goro student Yu has a knack for them. Masterful form and the notoriously difficult, matte yellow aburage-de glaze is executed beautifully. $80 USA, $90 Worldwide 3. Old Mino-Karatsu Chawan, likely early-mid 19th C. This one really kills me as it was a new addition, but I can't afford to accumulate so sacrifices must be made. Contemporary Kuro-Oribe Chawan An honest, no nonsense teabowl with a great in hand feel. The overall heft and softly rounded lip make for a pleasant drinking experience. Thick black glaze complimented by a crinkled cream colored window, adorned with bold brush work. What's not to love?
