Thanks Arnold. I'd like to find out if they were made with the same uniform level of care and finish that most Mantetsu-to were, or if there are various levels of quality among them like traditional gendai-to. It seems only an handful of smiths made them in Gunma.

Hello:

 I can't put my finger on it at the moment but the late Han Bing Siong did a wonderful write up on such and published same in the JSS/US NL or a special separate publication of samesome years ago.

I had quite a correspondence with the Honorable and Venerable Han Bing Siong and somewhere I think I have a photo of the gunsuito he had.  I'll bear it in mind as I continue cleaning up the chaos of 50+ years of collecting/hgoarding/disorganising...   Ahhh, just seen Bruno's post to Hamish. HBS's sword was a gensuito...
