Wakizhasi Kogatana Ho Kozuka Identification

Please anyone who can comment something about the period of this wakizhasi and kogatana?

Looks like a Tanto/Wakizashi(?) with fine quality 19th century mountings. If you want more information you will need more detailed photos of the various fittings and the blade, including the tang.  Close up shots of any signatures on blade or mountings should be included.  Please add your first name to the bottom of your post.

I think the signature on the kogatana might be Tsuda Echizen no kami Sukehiro  but I'm filling in the blanks a little where I cannot see the kanji so well.  And of course that doesn't mean that it's  a genuine mei.

Thank you for the helpful comments. I added more photos and unfortunately, there is no real sharp blade mounted but a wooden one.  Is there any reason for that? The kogatana is real though.

Looks like made from different, parts but it looks fine to me.

 

The wood blade is called Tsunagi. It holds the parts together when the blade is stored in a shira saya.

Yes, I looked at his signature and compared it and the similarity is clear. Given that he lived in during the 17th century, so it hold a real value for sure. Do you have any estimates?

Hi sorry. I am putting back the photos. Koshirae mountings, by Mitsutaka. Someone in Japan said that this piece was made by a high-ranking craftsman, Meiji period and I should keep this well. The signatures can't be confirmed. As expected of course, everything is a question  mark, unless proven to be right. Mounting a blade would be good since this is 100 years old already. Tnx
