sabi
Hey fellas, chasing something else and unfortunately this is the odd cup out. Here we have a truly breathtaking piece by the long-standing Mori kiln, and one that pictures truly cannot properly show. This guinomi features a riot of activity throughout with spotted goma and a deep purple tone that only the best Bizen artists are able to pull off. It has a weighty, organic feel in the hand as Bizen should, and it's a joy to drink out of. Condition is perfect and comes with all of its original packaging - box, cloth and a foldout detailing the career of the potter. It's hard to pin down exactly when this was made, but my research leads me to believe it's a vintage mid century ca. 1960's. Incised signature on the base. Price is $150 via PayPal shipped anywhere in the world. You'd be hard pressed to find a better example for the money. There is actually another, vastly inferior (IMO) Tozan piece for sale on the web right now for more than twice that. Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks for looking!
