Yes, it is easy to get lost in the craft and the minute details that go into the smallest items making up a koshirae.

I only ever had simple one piece habaki on swords I have had before. The double was interesting. How the contact area is shaped, the reinforced beveling of the metal internally was well done. Mostly the application of the gold foil is amazing and smooth, I feel it must take someone years to get even a little good at it.

Few things are as satisfying, in these days of haste, as the fine hand workmanship of the devoted artisan.
