Wow Those Satsuma Guys Were Good!

For those fans of Satsuma swordsmiths, here may be a chance to pick up a cheap one. Am I being dumb when I take the origami to read that the smith was six years old when he made it?

The kanteisho definitely states 'made when 6 years old' (六歳作) though the images of the nakago are not clear enough to verify if the paper is correct

MOTOYASU (元安), 1st gen., Bunka (文化, 1804-1818), Satsuma – “Satsuyō-shi Motoyasu” (薩陽士元安), “Satsuyō-shi Oku Motoyasu” (薩陽士奥元安), real name Oku Jirō´emon (奥次郎右衛門), third son of Oku Motonao (元直) and younger brother of Motohira (元平), we know date signatures from the Tenmei era (天明, 1781-1789) to the fourth year of Bunsei (1807), his year of death is unknown, it is assumed that he acted mainly in a support role for his older brother Motohira, but there exist some works which are qualitatively on the same level, chūjō-saku

MOTOYASU (元安), 2nd gen., Bunsei (文政, 1818-1830), Satsuma – “Satsuyō-shi Oku Taira Motomitsu” (薩陽士奥平元光), “Satsuyō-shi Oku Motoyasu” (薩陽士奥元安), he was born in the fifth year of Kansei (寛政,

1793) and signed in early years with Motomitsu (元光), in later years he entered priesthood and tool the nyūdō-gō Ju´an (寿安), his year of death us unknown but there exists a blade which mentions an age of 76 years, that means he must at least be active until the first year of Meiji (明治, 1868)
