Ko-Kinko Tsuba Question

A local collector asked for my thoughts on the attached tsuba which is for sale, and I would prefer to ask the opinion of members who are more knowledgeable in this area.

A tsuba recently listed on Yahoo!Japan, but now supposedly for sale from Guandong?

 

Well, yes, it is ko-kinko.

The huge umbrella thrown over early kinko works as 'ko-kinko' could stand to be graded from 0 to 10.

I'd say this one is more interesting than many, but not particularly a candidate for TH or Juyo.

An above average example of Ko-Kinko imho, but like Curran said, not top level. But certainly better than the usual cookie-cutter examples we see.

My problem as someone who just loves early soft metal guards -  the pics make it look a bit too gaudy and Edo-ish, which I suspect is not the case in reality.

 

My advice to the seller: make some better pictures, show the mimi and the depth of the tsuba, and - for goodness sake - do not show the seppa dai as they were a mirror. 

 

It looks like a good tsuba that bad photography has made seem unattractive.

My thought is that the Ko Kinko call here is a let's play it safe, and, yes, may speak to quality or lack there of, as in not mainline work.
