Unusual Tsuba, Hirata Or Somata

first post here, very intresting forum.

 

 

i find this tsuba and never saw one like this, i search here using the search tool but cant find  a similar one.

 

Hirata or musen jippo.

 

can some one helps me?

It appears to be a late but nice example of Shippo, doubtless from a full koshirae of similar features.

vu de près, it is a TACHI TSUBA, depicting a HOO bird.

You should find examples here but,If you Google...SHIPPO,ENAMEL,or CLOISONNE TSUBA you will find what you are looking for.  BTW, although some shippo tsuba were made for use many were also.produced as stand alone decorative objects that were never intended to be mounted.
