Death-Ace
ONCE AGAIN (third time's the charm; first due to a non-payer, second due to unfortunate financial circumstances arising before shipment if sword) up for grabs is this very nice O-Suriage Katana in high quality T98 mounts. The blade is in very good polish with a few cleaned minor pitting and three tiny half chips (two near the habaki and one on the kissaki, and an extremely slight bend, I believe. The blade appears to have Bizen attributes and I believe it to be Kanbun-era due to the lack of sori, however, it appears to have a slight curve towards the hamachi/nakago, so possible an osuriage O-Katana of the late Koto period. There is quite a bit of activity noted as stated below, however, it appears the kissaki was possibly reshaped as what can seen. There is also two minor grain openings in the hamon as shown in the last pictures, but are hardly noticeable unless studying the blade closely. The koshirae is in excellent shape, however, the ring on the company grade tassel has seen the thread fall off and there are two minor dents in the saya. All but one of the seppa is numbered as well (two are different, but the rest, tsuba, and fuchi telease button are 339). Overall, an excellent long and thick sword to study that looks to have been made to fight!Priced at $1200 (includes shipping) oboPlease ask if you need any more photos (I have plenty!) or have any questions!Nagasa: 26"Overall: 34"Motohaba: 1 1/8"Sakihaba: 7/8"Sakikasane: 5/32"Motokasane: 8/32"Hamon: Koshi no hiraite midare (Muneyaki, sunagashi, kinsuji, nie)Hada: ItameBoshi: Reshaped (?)
