Hi,

If anybody's motivated, could I get a sanity check on this translation?

the first kanji is what, "hide", and the second one is one of the "naga" variants? is that right?

Thanks in advance,

rkg

Hello,

from Markus book:

HIDENAGA (秀長), Keiō (慶応, 1865-1868), Bungo – “Bungo no Kuni Hidenaga” (豊後国秀長), son of Takahashi Nagahide (高橋長秀), it is said that he signed his name also with the characters (秀永)
HIDENAGA (秀長), active period unknown (gendaitō), Ōsaka – “Ōsaka-jū Takenaka Hidenaga saku” (大阪住 竹中秀長作)
HIDENAGA (秀永), Tenpō (天保, 1830-1844), Shinano – “Iida-jū Isshinshi Hidenaga kore o tsukuru” (飯田住一心子秀永造之), “Hidenaga” (秀永), gō Isshinshi (一心子)
HIDENAGA (秀永), Genji (元治, 1864-1865), Bungo – “Minamoto Hidenaga Hiji ni oite kore o tsukuru” (源秀永於日出造之), suguha mixed with gunome-ashi
