I would be particularly interested in any research that comes from this blade, considering my only papered sword is a 1st Gen Aizu Masanaga (from you Ray :)  )
An interesting line, although this one has very different attributes, I think there is a ton to enjoy no matter what it is signed. But I suspect the NBTHK thinks this is more than just a gimei. Lovely sword there, pity about the failure to paper...but then it would be much, much more in price.
