Unknown Sword Mei

apart from the bad photo (not focused, probably only part of the inscription)), I think that this is a date. What about the other side? TACHI-MEI?

much better photo, but still I have no clue! It starts with SAN, fourth KANJI could be KAMI, third-last probably GATSU. The inscription seems not to be made by a steady and well trained hand!

I'm sure that this sword has been on here previously. I can't remember what the answer (if any) was though...

Apart from the blade being mumei from smith it has some interesting markings.

 

I think the markings can be head counts.

 

Seen it before and I have it on some of my blades too.

 

Maybe someone has another idea?

The sword is on a auction from a member here. It is a wakizashi. No mountings, no habaki, condition must be polished. 

Is this gold in the signature / date?

 

Martin i had this marks on a Nakago on my wakizashi from "Hide-xy"

 

I asked myself what it is.
