that never showed up when i was looking ,

 

i know next to nothing on hizen mei, but it looks sloppy compared to what iv seen. i would aleast say its had a suriage.

 

but the mounts are the star. nice big double handed tsuka on a navy kyu gunto arnt common at all

nice, blade looks health for a nagamaki noshi

 

the tsuka looks very short for a regular gunto

I was planning to attend in person but had to cancel at the last moment. The auction just closed. I likewise thought the naginatanaoshi was interesting, as was the Hizen Masatsugu. The Nobufusa sold at an attractive price.

BUT likely the temper was bad and possibly tiered. I suspect this as I can not recall ever having seen a good quality blade in these junk tourist mounts. Probably once was good but now dead.

Overall a decent package.

 

The Hzen blade went for too much considering it is rather much Machi Okuri.

The late Bizen Tachi with huge Sori was junk but an interesting investment piece at the given estimate but then went for way too much and beyond retail

Maybe it's not my taste or I am missing something, but why would one want to chase that blade? The fittings? Gunto fittings?

Well, personally I am not into those fittings but the blade looks like it could be a solid  pre Muromachi piece. Though I wouldn't be in at that price.
