Moley
I acquired this Tsuba on an antique Katana. It doesn't do anything for me and I may as well swap it for something else that I may enjoy better. Somebody out there might love it? May be a "Shoami" tsuba depicting a Pickle jar and Daikon. As you can see it is not in good condition and has seen some wear. Weighs 140gms and has a diameter of 8cm I am looking to swap it for something else preferably within the U.K. Regards Gwyn Mowll (North Wales)
sabi
Motif could possibly be a chatsubo (tea jar).

Moley
Some good friends on this forum said I would be lucky to get £150 for this considering it's age and history. Obviously "not a lot"... but I would be willing to "Trade up" i.e. Part exchange and pay extra MONEY on top of the swap. Someone has gone to the trouble and expense of "plugging" the ana in a very professional manner. also the tsuba came off a sword previously owned and used by Oshita Masakazu sensei (8 dan Kyoshi of Kobe Dojo) a Koto Yamato Hosho blade from the Nambokucho period. (P.S.- I LOVE Dragons) Gwyn
cdl
Hello, I'm very interested in this tsuba ... unfortunately in my collection I have just tsubas depicting the tea ceremony utensils. Did you accept money ? ... just fix the price. Bests regards Stephane Cardinale
