I had the opportunity to visit Tom a couple of times. He is a true collector of iron tsuba and now wants to part with a couple of quality pieces from his collection - this is really nice stuff and I can recommend Tom as a very kind person. I cannot believe that some pieces have not already gone - some of my favorites can also be found here: http://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/topic/21172-tsuba-christmas-sale-1-kyo-nishigaki-owari/.

Good luck Tom - hope to visit you again soon,

Chris

Prost back at you. -And a brunette fraulein please.

Marius- that is the one that tempted me.

Because of the humpback waves, shape, and thinness, I thought Futagoya school (Norisuke) rather than Choshu.

Either way, a nice tsuba. The cost of having good hitsuana plugs like those nowaways is nearly what you paid for the tsuba.

Okay ... in Bavaria we use both words, PROSIT and PROST. The ´Prosit´ has the meaning of ´a toast´, so ´ein Prosit auf die Gemütlichkeit´ means ´a toast to the coziness´ and ´Prost´ simply means ´Cheers´ :glee:

So anytime, you visit Bavaria or the Oktoberfest and clink your ´Maß´ with the funny clothed natives just use ´PROST´ with a deep sounding voice and you might be considered domestic

PROST

Given time and a scanner, I could post more Norisuke-Futagoya ones that closely resemble the one you just picked up.

My Catch-n-Release 5 tsuba buffer is full at the moment with some insanely ones, but this one tempted me.

The Choshu one is also also very interesting and I wondered if Lawson would pick it off, as Choshu is more his domain than mine.
