Kamakura period wakizashi. mumei, 3 mekugi-ana. gold menuki (I was offered $2600 by a dealer who suggested I just kind of 'slip them out from under the wrap'). signed tsuba. Samurai in armor motif tsuba, fuchi, & kashira. exceptional. hamon and boshi are perfectly healthy. never been to Shinsa. $5800 obo 2. Exceptional Silver Koshirae tanto. saya is completely covered in Silver foil. kurikata is solid Silver. tanto is signed Kagefuyu. The tsuba is also signed--Nobuiye. exceptional hand-formed nanako. hamon barely holds onto the edge of the sword at the last 1/3 of the blade towards the tip. The cutting edge at the last 1 1/2 inches at the tip has dents but no chips. The koshirae are quite nearly perfect. Only the silk wrapping has wear. never been to Shinsa. $3600 obo 3. OLD SWORD Japanese Samurai Daito -UBU -LONG--30". mumei. ubu. likely Nanbokucho period. two windows opened in the blade by Bob Benson. hamon and boshi are perfectly healthy. The blade is straight.
