Lacquered Tosogu Boxes

Beautiful antique lacquer presentation boxes for tosogu were made, they are not common but can be had, why don't you acquire some. Unadorned pawlonia wood boxes are the perfect frame for tosogu. As amateur attempts at lacquering are usually HIDEOUS, I would give it a pass.....some thoughts are best left unexecuted.

I have a very nice lacquered box from the Edo period that contains a set of fittings (tsuba, F/K, kozuka). I will try to remember to get around to posting it.

I have finished laquering a menuki box. this is my first box, and i think it came out pretty damn sharp.
If anyone is interested, its for sale, because I have plenty of boxes here to practice on.
