Started with a blade that had been split past the shinogi, and then sort of hammered (some American probably showing how he could slice a tree in 2).  A friend did all the work, cutting, shaping, tang, Laquer, tsuka, etc.  Everything but the menuki, the ganesh kurikata, and one fuchi.  The base was Satsuma-aged and ended up looking like a yoroi-doshi.  Sending some pictures now, and more as i get them transferred to computer.  Hope they are worth viewing, lol.

Please post some photo's of the entire thing, from the third photo the kissaki really doesn't look good. Perhaps a pic of the 'before' state might shine it in a different light.

Axel look closely, Satsuma-aged might better be rendered "Satsuma-age'd"

It looks like it is supposed to look and it looks pretty cool to me...

It does not look very Japanese to me, and not like a YOROI-DOSHI, at least on these few photos.

Yes, but not a bad save for a snapped blade either. Interesting project. Some good fittings there too.
