Any Information On This Kaneie Tsuba?

Hi.

I acquired this tsuba a couple years ago. It came with a late koto wakizashi.

It shows shoji mei characteristic and the quality of iron & patina looks pretty amazing unlikely

to that of later edo copy of kaneie. Pictorial design is very subtle but quite elegant

at the same time. Over the past couple year of struggles to find what this tsuba really is,

there is no good source to learn about the kaneie tsuba in depth except the article " one way of looking at kaneie" by Takeuchi Fumio, translated by Elliott Long.

Can anyone please provide me some good source to study kaneie tsuba and

Possibly put some kantei on this tsuba? Thanks

Sorry to disappoint, but unfortunately it is a later copy. You might want to look at some real Kaneie, at least in book. Yours is a nice tsuba in its own right, but a far cry from the real McCoy.
