Looking for a Koto naginata, with koshirae would be just great. Papered is preferred. Kizu is fine (non-fatal) and older polish is okay too. Not particular on any one school or another in this case.

You have good tastes. Koto naginata are difficult to find.

Thank you! An don't I know it! I wouldn't think they would be, but they certainly seem difficult. I can find Edo naginata left and right....

I have a naginata by Higo dotanuki matahachi - it is in shirasaya but is in excellent polish - no faults and amazing hamon
Late 1500's = not papered but discussed on Board and mei is fine !

i  have a signed naginata with pole and blade cover, Only issue is i would say it is Shinto $1650

I have a naginata naoshi by Sadatsuna. Stunning piece in Soden bizen. It's hozon papered.
