Translation Assistance But A Question First Before Posting

Greetings,

 

As a new member I do want to make sure that I dont violate Forum policies thus why I am posting this question prior to posting. I may or may not have noted in posting as a new member but I collect militaria items to include dog tags. So far its been limited to US, UK, Canada, etc; English based countries as I dont speak another language...yet. I would like to venture into Japanese tags but cant translate the kanji. Would it be OK for at least one post of an image of a tag and ask for a translation. Trust me, I'm not training to taint the well as I know the primary purpose is the discussion of swords and fittings. I thank you for your time.

I thank you for your response and realize that I didn't clearly identify the Japanese tag in question. It is not a surrender tag but an actual soldier's dog tag. My apologies
