didnt work in Heisei and doesnt really match

Brian's link at first thought to be same sword, just a few things off on the strokes, so another of the same?

one poster said stamped mei which is bogus as its clearly cut, but not a recorded smith, good find B.

Hello,

 

I own the Kiyofune sword posted in the sword forum article. I have had it examined by sword mounters and Japanese sword smiths alike and they all agree that the blade is a nihonto.

 

I also agree that the mei inscription is not stamped, but hand done and typical of a Japanese signature. However, I have yet to find anything about this sword smith anywhere on record.
