Dear Mishina San

I have been reading the Connoisseur's Book of Japanese

Swords that you translated and I have come across a

term that I do not fully understand. I am doing

research on Sanjo Yoshiie and on page 129 you use an

expression "kogori" in the sentence "Nie, nioi kogori,

ashi, kinsuji and inazuma are seen."

What does kogori mean?

I received this today

Dear sir,

Kogori is a tiny mass of nie particles. I am glad to hear that my

translation is helping your sword study.

Mishina
