This work by Roger Robertshaw is a major world-class original work that took the author over 20 years of study and 3 1/2 years of writing to produce this astonishing masterpiece This is an absolute rare gem in the world of nihonto and is a prize for any collector who values the history of the Japanese sword. I have been unable to find any other copies of this amazing work on the internet. It lists in entirety ALL of the smiths, their students, and a complete lineage. Book consists of over 500 b/w photos, 38 color photos, 30 classical color prints (includes a set of Kuniyoshi works), 9 color spreadsheets of data, 68,000 words (English), and Tadayoshi signatures in oshigata form with detailed explanations. 214 pages.

 

For those who are in the know about hizento (swords of Hizen), this volume is a treasure to behold.  

 

Book and cloth slipcase is in excellent condition with no loose pages or dried binding. Book has only been opened seven or eight times since acquired brand new. It comes with the original CD that contains the complete text and pictures in pdf. Weight 3 lbs.
