At first glance ( or even second ! ) this tsuba appears with its hitsu ana shape, nunome inlay and uneven and intentionally abraided surface to be from the Higo Jingo school - but its not - its a confirmed rare example by the Nishigaki - If I were a betting man I would say that it was made by Nishigaki Kampei who was very creative in his designs. But I can explain this view further to any interested potential buyer. Size 7.5cm x 6.9cm x 0.56cm weight = 143.9g Complete with custom fitted luxury box and 2012 Hozon NBTHK papers.
