Marius
Gents, a 41cm nagasa hitatsura wakizashi with a wild hitatsura hamon. Stubby nakago (most likely modfiied a long time ago to get its current stubby appearance) with very good patina and signed Kunishige. I will not speculate on the signature. It is old and nice, but should be regarded as gimei. We can rule out Hasebe as this is clearly a late Muromachi sword. If someone feels lucky, the (ko)Mizuta school could come to mind (not that I hold this opinion). Whatever the maker, it is a healthy sword in polish, with double gold foil habaki and shirasaya. No flaws, just a scuff from the saya (no scratch) - can be seen in one of the pics. Sakizori sugata with mitsumune. Nagasa: 41 cm Motohaba; 3 cm Sakihaba: 2.5 cm Motogasane: 0.6 cm Sakigasane: 0.4cm Late Muromachi. Koto. SOLD (traded, actually) I don't say this is THE opportunity, just a fair price for an interesting koto wakizashi. But I'd rather keep it than slash the price, so no discounts, gents, unless you act this very evening. As always this offer is valid three days only.
