Marius
A simple yamagaen tsuba, tanto/ko-wakizashi size. Surface is adorned with carved waves. Very nice dark brown colour, remnants of black lacquer. This plain tsuba was most likely used by a low ranking samurai. This guard is a basic affair, but has age and patina which make it a charming item, ideal for a collection of older tsuba or for a mounting project. I'll post measurements in a few minutes. The guard is most likely late Muromachi/Momoyama period. Best of all, it is very cheap. $95 incl. worldwide global express shipping. PayPal fees extra.
