Keichodo
Armor lovers....here is your chance.... This suit is lacquered leather and is in very good condition. I have kept it for a few years because of the condition it is in and because I have enjoyed it. Lacquer is excellent and all lacing has been redone at some point not so long ago. It is not falling apart and will require no maintenance for the next fifty years...if looked after. Menpo appears to have been re-lacquered (tetsu sabiji), but is well-done. Kabuto is mid/late Edo signed Myochin Muneaki (never been authenticated). Shikoro appears to be hon-kozane. Dragon maedate (slight damage) has glass eyes and looks to be at least Meiji. Two armor boxes with lacquered leather covers... Overall very nice effect. Price in yen is 1,290,000 or a reasonable offer.... Keichodo
Greetings, Here are some additional photos....Mei could be read as Munetomo but there doesn't seem to be a listing....bowl is made of 24 plates. Cheers, Robert
