Keichodo
Greeting NMB friends, A sword dealer friend of mine from the Kansai area asked if I could generate interest in this sword which is currently on his Japanese website for yen 1,700,000. I told him I would try the NMB as he knew I successfully sold a Kuniie not too long ago....so I'll try again with this one. I also explained that a discount would be in good form so it is available for yen 1,600,000 to NMB members including shipping. Jean
Whoever is the next owner, congrats in advance. I have seen an Ichimonji school katana with the same hamon at Sokendo and have a friend who has an Ishido katana with such Hamon. Always outstanding. It is surprising to see that it is far less expensive to get a famous mukansa second hand blade that an ordered new one. There is a similar sword by Ohno Yoshimitsu for sale at Tsuriginoya but not for the same price: http://www.tsuruginoya.com/mn1_3/a00347.html
SwordGuyJoe
A very fair price for a sword like this. Had I not just been on a bit of buying spree, I'd snap this one up pretty quickly.
