Caleb Mok
*NOT* trying to polish my own swords; using them on woodworking tools. I'm posting this here because, if memory serves me right, Mr. Louis Skebo once generously shared that he has those, did not sell them, and they do not work (for swords). I am looking for 2kg+ of the "Iyoto" stones (a.k.a. 愛媛 伊豫銘砥) that the online seller known as "330mate" have sold on his site. He has his system of hardness and fineness, and I am hoping to find one that is hardness=3 or 4 and fineness 1000. Preferably, the stone was purchased from his site, rather than through his e-bay store. That way, I can confirm that your stone does indeed correspond with what I'm looking for through his website. GregD
You might want to try Ken Schwartz or Harrelson Stanley.Ken imports a lot of natural stones but also sells Shaptons ,Nubutamas etc.The last I saw of Harrelson it was mostly synthetic or ceramic waterstones.
