Ubu Katana in original Late Edo mounts with Kanteisho

Hi Guys, I have another interesting piece that will soon be offered up for sale. I say interesting for many reasons, the blade is a nice long Shin-shinto piece with its original Late Edo Koshirae. When I bought the blade it was originally in its mounts and I had the Shirasaya done, it fits perfectly and I even took some close up pictures of the Nakago-ana for the Tsuba and Seppa. The Mumei blade has been attributed as "Den Sendai 13 generation of Kunikane" which puts it at the very end of Shin-shinto, later Kunikane works were usually not signed if my memory serves me right. I had the papering just done. The nagasa is roughly a nice healthy 73.6 cm / 29 inches and you will note the nice character and activity, Polish is in very good condition.

The Koshirae has all matching iron and plenty of it with its original lacquer work Saya that has a beautiful shine thanks to the crushed shells.

Price for members is $7,500 US plus shipping and transactional related fees. It will be listed for significantly more once I have it up for sale so now is your time to pounce. Donation will be honoured if sold here.
