Nickupero Posted July 3, 2014 Report Share Posted July 3, 2014 As mentioned earlier this is my last push before a nice break so here is another for you, elegant katana in an all matching and real pretty koshirae. The blade is signed Kanesada, there were several generations Kanesada, possibly end end of Muromachi work. Blade doesn't come with Hozon, I did not attempt shinsa with any of the organizations, especially not the NBTHK...waiting time is too damn long these days, and so the set is well priced considering what you get. Polish is older, still quite good and the blade has few kizu but nothing fatal. Nice strong active hamon. The Koshirae has a detailed Kojiri and Kurikata that matches the Fuchi and Kashira. The tsuba is interesting, if you see in the close ups there is incredible texture with what appears like bronze pieces inlayed everywhere. The lacquer work on the saya is nice and old and in excellent condition. Price for members is $4,700 USD plus shipping and any transactional related fees(i.e. paypal).
