over the last few days some great threads have been pulled to the front, I was wondering when the new board arrives, will all the old ones be lost?

All the threads from the beginning were carried over in the conversion, so they are all there, except for the few that have been posted since the beginning of January.
Those unfortunately cannot be transferred.
However this forum will remain here for reference too, although new posting will be blocked. Bit of a compromise, but I think that it's reasonable?
I'm ready to do the change over as soon as I am confident everyone is ok with it and prepared. By now everyone should have gone there and chosen their prefered style (look) and made themselves familiar with it.
The Nihonto style is my preference as I have been able to impliment the top links nicely and it works similar to this one. But you are free to choose one of the other styles, although they are not as fine tuned yet. New members since the end of Dec also should re-register there as they can't be carried over.
As you use it, you will see there are many improvements and it has to be done sooner or later.

Maybe it would be a good idea to announce a date for switching over to the new Forum.
