The list of sword dealers that will participate in the coming Dai Token Ichi are out. Sorry, it's all in Japanese. Our friend Robert Huges' Keichodo is out there again at the world's premier exhibition. FYI.

Rich -- if this is the one you are referring to it's #149 from the Sasano collection book 'Masterpieces'. Sasano wrote, 'Akiyama Kyusaku's (1844 - 1936) statement that, from the swordsman's viewpoint, no other school can meet the standard of Owari guards is particularly relevant when applied to this piece'. It's magnificent.

Wow.
I've been feeling a bit the nihonto pauper recently, with a long standing bill soon coming due. Looking at the Tadamitsu and the Umetada, hmmm.
Only moths in the wallet. Humbling.

Rich- please take nice photos. Travel well.

imagine, have a date with Gwyneth Paltrow, but you are not allow to whisper sweet nothing ( and forget blowing into her ears !! ), nor hold her in embrace ( well, yes, you can only hold her hands )and take her home.
The longing afterward, arrrhhhhhhhhh, I envy you not.Take good pics, noooooooo, I don't mean Gwyneth....... the fittings !!

though I miss the boat, seems like either I got the dates wrong, or they have been altered. Anyways, here is what I have found.
